Indian ceiling finds its way as a photographic print

When we were in New Delhi doing the tourist thing we decided to have a snoop around some of the more famous landmarks and temples, one of which was Humayun’s tomb. This place was very rewarding photographically and recently we were really chuffed to find that one of our first print sales was ‘Decorative Ceiling’. This was taken whilst we were completely absorbed with our cameras documenting the amazing space and architecture that surrounds it.

The print has been picked out for someone’s living room and we were also asked to frame the image too. Whilst we have been based in Leicester we’ve been working with West End Gallery on Highcross Street. They have a lovely little space there with an art gallery and framing workshop tucked away at the back. Their frame collection is pretty extensive and we had no problem in choosing a pewter frame as requested by the client. We didn’t want to go for a chunky or wide frame as thought it would distract too much from the image, which is quite subtle in tone. The final result though is really good and we thought we’d show you on here. The frame has a slight texture to it which really compliments the textures that are within the photograph and colour wise too it matches the image really well. Pewter isn’t for everyone but in this instance we feel that it really compliments the image.

The photograph was printed on a Canson Baryta paper with the Printspace in London and framed with Westend Gallery in Leicester. Although we don’t advertise framing as a service, we can arrange this side of things for you upon request working with local suppliers.

You can visit the shop to see our range of Limited Edition prints available to purchase.

Enjoy!
